Alternate has traditionally been one of the largest online suppliers of computers, computer components and multimedia products in Europe. Over the years, the range has expanded with related products such as household electronics and tools. Today, from all logistics centers in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, all countries in Europe are delivered directly to the end user or as a fulfilment partner for other sellers. Alternate is one of the most successful e-commerce companies in its industry.
Since 1998, Alternate is also based in Ridderkerk, as an independent branch of the German mother organization. With 200 employees and now 18 years of experience, Alternate Nederland is a solid asset in the online market and is still the market leader in computer related products. In 2007, a branch was also started in Belgium (Aartselaar), with similar success.
