Climbing Center's history
The Climbing Center opened the gate to the first climbing plant in Solna, Lucia in 2003. We wanted to start a climbing facility that was for everyone, where both beginners and advanced climbers could feel welcome. A place that was not an exclusive environment for already climbers who could attract a larger circle.
We chose to initially have a thoughtful room with fresh changing rooms and shower rooms, a cozy café and a shop where our visitors can buy their climbing equipment.
Security
Security thinking has been in focus from the start and even before the Swedish Klättringsförbund formulated the requirements for the general qualification cards in order to secure another person, the Klättingssenter had introduced practical and theoretical controls to minimize the risk of accidents. The fact that our halls are now certified climbing halls emphasizes to us and our customers that we continue to attach great importance to safety issues in all we do.
Largest in Sweden
Klättercentret Stockholm AB today operates the largest climbing business in Sweden, based on sales and number of facilities. We have succeeded in further strengthening the high quality of climbing that became our brand. In January 2010, the facility was opened on Phone Plan south of Stockholm. After six years of ever-increasing interest, we opened the Klättercentret in Akalla in September 2016.
One month later Skagene Climb Center opened the doors for its first plant in Malmö.
Business Concept
Our aim is to spread the climbing sport and offer good training opportunities to visitors who want to develop as climbers and to those seeking an interesting and fun form of training - which is also our business concept.
